Loss of original element order after auto sort switched on

Post by John Hammond »

It seems that if you manually place elements in a particular order within a dimension then that manual placement is lost once you introduce any automatic sort or change the sort order then save the dimension. If you set the auto sort off again then you do not get the manual placement restored.

This seems a shame when TM1 could keep track of this internally. Does anyone know a way round this?

.xdis are a pretty good way of ensuring that the sort order that you want can be established or re-established on demand. :D
