Hi Guys,
I am currently using 9.1 SP4 on Windows 2003 R2 64 bit machine with 32GB memory.
The Data folder is only 700MB, but it takes 45 minutes to load. I then realized the MaximumCubeLoadThreads was not set to maximum, which I then changed to maximum and it brought the loading time to 25 mins. But, the problem is can not use multithreading as there are a few conditional feeders with fed cells in the logical section. So, had to revert back to single thread load.
Then out of curiousity, loaded only one cube with its feeder cube (so two cubes). Noticed that this cube which used to take 10 mins before, now takes only 1 min.
Not sure what to try next. Help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Takes long time to load the server
It'd be worth looking in the tm1smsg.log file to see which cubes are taking a long time to load. After that it's time to start looking at the feeders relating to them.Rashed wrote:Hi Guys,

Re: Takes long time to load the server
Thanks Alan for your quick response.
I had a look at the tm1server.log file which tells me which cubes are taking long time. One of those cubes is a very small cube with only two measures having rules and takes 10 mins to load. So, I loaded this cube and its feeder cube only (as mentioned in the previous thread), it took 1 min instead of 10 mins.
Does tm1smsg.log provide more information than tm1server.log file? Also, how do I activate logging into this tm1smsg.log file? Thanks.

That may be the same log. I know that in later versions they played around with the log names.Rashed wrote: I had a look at the tm1server.log file which tells me which cubes are taking long time. From your description my first thought would be that the cube is feeding outwards, to another cube. That would explain why it took so long when the receiving cube was present but less when it wasn't. But presumably you've already checked for that, so I'm out of ideas for the moment.
