Hi All,
Recently we had downgraded the TM1 version from 9.1 SP3 9.1.30200.132 to 9.1 SP3 9.1.30000.340. After downgrading all the users were fine, able to login and do what ever they want but there is one user who is getting a issue/Unable to login while clicked on TM1 Architect getting the following error message.
'cannot find initialization file.'tm1p.ini'in the window directory,'c:\windows',Architect can not run without this file.Exiting TM1 Architect'
Our TM1 installation directory is E:\Applix/TM1
Location for our TM1p.ini file is C:\Documents and settings/User/ApplicationData....
From my understanding there will not be any tm1p.ini file existing in C;\Windows.....?
FYI..all the users exixting on the same serevr are able to connect except one user.
Please give me your suggestions.
Thanks in Advance.
Thanks & Regards,
Ashish

Re: Cannot find initialization file.'tm1p.ini'
What happens if you do as the error message suggests and put the ini file in the Windows directory?
Also, you mention Architect, while this is a perferctly valid tool, I don't know that many business users (rather than Administrators) who use Architect rather than Perspectives. Should the user in fact be using Perspectives?

This was my understanding too, but depending on what version you are using TM1 will look in different places for different files (tm1p.ini, tm1p8.lic). It's hard to keep track of it all. I was also under the impression that if it didn't find it, it would just create it.Ashish_TM1 wrote:From my understanding there will not be any tm1p.ini file existing in C;\Windows.....?
As the error is client side, rather than server side, that's not especially surprising. Perhaps your user still has an old version of the client?Ashish_TM1 wrote: FYI..all the users exixting on the same serevr are able to connect except one user.
