I want to know what are the main differences between TM1 9.4 and 9.4 MR1. I tried to find this info in the Manuals but there is not enough information on this topic.
On the IBM download page (IBM Passport) I can only see following two options:
IBM Cognos TM1 plus Executive Viewer v9.4.0 for Windows Multilingual eAssembly(CR8C6ML)
IBM Cognos TM1 v9.4.1 Multiplatform Multilingual eAssembly(CR8C7ML)
It does not have anything saying MR1. Is 9.4.1 same as MR1?
Which version is more stable? Also do we have to install any TM1 patches/fixes on any of these versions? If there are any fixes, then please forward me the download links.
9.4.1 is "9.4 MR1" this is pretty much the base version for 9.4. As far as I am concerned 9.4.0 is an absolute no go zone for a production environment, ... there were a lot of issues with stability and ironing out of bugs.
9.4.1 FP1 is a pretty good release, but FP2 was plagued with client side stability issues. There should be an FP3 out soon ...
I believe MR is a "Maintenace Release" so I would expect fixes but not extra functionality.
For those who may be confused by changes in nomenclature, I have been told that "Fix Packs" (eg FP1, FP2 ) will now be used instead of Maintenance Releases. FP's will come out every few months containing all current patches and Hot Fixes, (eg HF16) will be released when needed to fix specific urgent bugs.

There was some; some additional Excel functions (SumIf and CountIf) became supported in WebSheets, and there was a new tm1s.cfg parameter called ClientPropertiesSyncInterval. Some functionality changed in terms of Active Forms as well as a workbook name variable called TM1REBUILDOPTION. It's in the 9.4 MR1 Read Me document, which I'd post a link to but I haven't been able to find it on the digital dumpster dive that is the IBM web site. The supposed "full documentation" for 9.4 MR1 naturally doesn't include the naffing release notes, and since it's copyrighted I can't post it here.
