Re: TM1RPTROW driving dimension
Thanks lotsaram By dimension 1 and dimension 2 I meant dimensions in two TM1RPTROW formulas and as those are both row dimensions that's impossible to reference CurrentMember because those two TM1RPTROW functions cannot interact with each other. Does TM1RptRow have to use a dimension from the cube re...

TM1RPTROW driving dimension
Hi all I need to build an active form looping two dimensions. The initial idea was to use 2 TM1RPTROW functions, but the problem is I need to filter dimension2 element based on the current element of dimension1 and AFAIK that's impossible. Another solution would be to build a flag cube, but I'm wond...

Re: Feeder issue
Feeders are substitute DATA. Therefore it is critical to realize feeders only exist for leaf cells. Putting C element on the left hand side of a feeder is shorthand for all ultimate N element descendants of the C element. On the right hand side the element name evaluated by !dimension are the leave...

Re: Feeder issue
Hey lotsaram, thanks for your answer, yes this is what I've done to resolve my issue. Please clarify if there is any case when we can use a consolidated element on the left side of feeder statement, as I found this example http://ykud.com/blog/cognos/tm1-cognos/tm1-puzzles-and-diversions-consolidate...

Re: Feeder issue
Hi Steve Thanks for you reply. This is exactly what I thought initially, but was not sure about if feeders work on C-level. So I need that Cost Element consolidation to be calculated even there is no child elements with values . One solution that comes to my mind is making fin_percent to be a consol...

Re: Feeder issue
I don't know why but I was not able to attache the 4th screen shot, attaching it here: However I have a problem with one TV station, for some reason when look at its fin_percent at FTE CE Group ("Cost Element" dimension consolidated element), it displays the right value: 2.91% calc.jpg Aft...

Feeder issue
Maybe I don't understand something about feeders, that's why I'm asking. I have the measure dimension: msr.jpg fin_percent is calculated using a rule: rule.jpg Finally Station dimension looks like: Stations.jpg alloc_amount for TV and Radio is copied from TV Stations and Radio Stations consolidation...

Re: Using subset with DBRW function
I don't see the point of having a "subset total" that aggregate on the fly. One would question the usefulness and purpose vs the confusion it causes. If the aim is allow user to sum numbers up for a subset on the fly, that functionality already exists. In cube view there the roll op butto...

Re: Using subset with DBRW function
Each user needs to check a couple cities total. Creating a private subset would make a model nice and clean. In case with consolidations, I would need to create and support each consolidation myself. Since TI cannot create/modify/delete private subsets then it's kind of a moot point isn't it? Yes, ...

Re: Using subset with DBRW function
Hi lotsaram Sometimes you don't want to build a consolidation for each single user request. For example, let's say there is a location dimension. Each user needs to check a couple cities total. Creating a private subset would make a model nice and clean. In case with consolidations, I would need to ...

Re: Using subset with DBRW function
I think that "bit of functionality that originated from a desire to give end-users the ability to create ad-hoc consolidations" is already implemented in the most places in TM1. I also tested it's supported in CellGetN / CellGetS functions. So why not to add this feature to SubsetElementIn...

Re: Using subset as element
However while creating a static subset with SubsetElementInsert function you cannot use another subset as an element, it will throw an error that element not found I'm trying to workaround it by using SubsetCreateByMDX and MDX like: {[dim_name].[subset_name]} but that returns all the subset elements...

Re: Using subset with DBRW function
sorry, my fault
I forgot to change TM1RPTTITLE function inside TM1RPTVIEW to point to the same subset name
So we can use subset name inside DBRW which is an amazing feature!

Using subset with DBRW function
Hi all I know that you cannot use subset with DBRW function. But I don't want to create a consolidate element each time I need to see a total. In a cube view I can simply use a subset name and get a subset elements total. But how to workaround this in Perspectives? I need to use that " subset t...

Re: Element-ghost
Thanks for the explanation , however, I could verify on point 1 and 3 but not the second point . E.g. DIMIX ( 'Year' , 'Default' ) would still give 0 . Could you elaborate more in that scenario ? I am using 10.2.2 for testing. Thanks in advance :?: Yes, that's true, if you are using it in any funct...

Hi lotsaram
Thanks for such comprehensive reply. I knew about selecting elements from another subset using {[dimension].[subset]} but everything else was quite new and very useful

That element is even deathless. Copied the dimension to a test environment. Run DimensionDeleteAllELements. All elements deleted... except the "Element-ghost"

Element-ghost
Hi all! I have a really strange issue. First of all, I'm not the original developer of the current system. In Cost Element dimension I have one consolidated element ("Total Sal&Ben&Labor&AL&TOIL") which is fully "non-working", I cannot find it using a wildcard sea...

Re: Swithcing TM1 from server1 to server2
what I meant, when I have a websheet with a formula inside like: SUBNM("tm1prod: Cost Centre", "leaves", "CC1") and now I copied a complete data folder to tm1qa, but I didn't change ServerName to "tm1prod" in tm1s.cfg, then that formula will fail. My idea is t...
