Re: System Lockup on TI load
And also check your TM1S.CFG file if it has the MaximumCubeLoadThreads switch added to it. I think this one has nothing to do with the TI blocking the server. IMHO it is used only while model is being loaded to RAM during server startup. Agreed. We have this in our TM1S.CFG file set to 7, since we ...

System Lockup on TI load
I'm on version 9.4.1 and we are having an issue where the entire system is unavailable when a TI process is running. Users can't log in, reports just feeze mid-refresh and everybody waits until the process is completed. I'm just wondering if this is due to something in our install, or if this is a &...

Need instructions to use TM1 on Citrix
After a year of working on my IT department to allow people to use Citrix to run TM1 from our remote sites, they have finally said ok. However, they want some documentation on how to configure TM1 for use on Citrix. So, i go out to the IBM site, find a document from Jan 2009 that is exactly what I n...

TM1 9.4 under Windows 7
Is anyone using TM1 9.4 under Windows 7?
We are testing and getting an error in TI that says "Object not Registered" whenever a function that modifies a dimension is called.
I was hoping that someone could shed some light on this from their own experience.
Thanks!!!

Re: SaveDataAll on 9.4 FP2
Thanks for bringing this up.
It's strange, but I created some new TI Processes at the end of March and they worked fine with SaveDataAll, but just last week I started getting this error too.
What a pain.

Any new news regarding TM1 performance over WAN?
I was just wondering if there have been any new developments in the recent new releases that eases the pain of accessing TM1, in Excel, over a WAN. Alternately, does the new web interface for TM1 work any better than before? We are currently on version 9.4 MR1 HF3, and are waiting for a non-lethal u...

Re: Server Lockup
We are having a similar, but possibly slightly different issue here. We are on 9.4 HF3, running on a 64-bit server with four dual core Intel Processors and 64Gig of RAM. Whenever someone runs a chore the whole system bogs down and nobody can do much of anything until the process is completed. CPU ut...

Re: Applix 9.4 FP2
This list of (fairly MAJOR) fixes almost makes Microsoft products seem bug-free by comparison. *shrug* Anyhow, I love how they mix together FP1 and FP2 issues in the list so you don't know exactly what you are getting by going from FP1 to FP2 unless you sit down with the lists side by side and scrat...

Re: TM1 Offline Templates
I would probably create one template with two (or more) sheets. Sheet 1 would be for the online users, Sheet 2 for off line users. Then use VBA to to select which to use and delete the other based on an Attribute of the Cost center.

SUCCESS!!!!!!
They changed the config file from Kerberos to NTLM. The UniqueID was left at windowsuser@domain.
Thank you EVERYONE for your contributions on this thread!! You helped far more and more quickly than the help desk at Cognos/IBM!
Again, thank you!!!

Re: Integrated Login second (or more) opinon(s)
Encouraging News!!!! I changed the UniqueID to domain\username and...I'm getting a new error related to the SPN! Progress! :) I'm having my IT liason change our SecurityPackage from Kerberos to NTLM today and see what happens. Fortunately, we don't have anything active on our Dev server this week so...

Re: Integrated Login second (or more) opinon(s)
Ok, here is the list of questions with my responses. Thanks for being patient and so helpful! Questions: What steps were taken to 'enable integrated login' - you seem to doubt that the correct procedure has been undertaken? The steps outlined in the Cognos documentation were followed first to use ET...

Re: VBA to insert dimension attributes
I've just been through the wringer trying to EXTRACT a value from an attribute using the API. It's horrible and there are no example on the web that I could find either. What worked for me, which someone here suggested, was to use the RUN(DBSA,server:dimension, value, attributename) macro VBA function...

Re: Integrated Login second (or more) opinon(s)
Definitely, running under domain account will always be the preferred setup. Anyway, it's off topic for this thread. Martin Erlmoser didn't seem to think so, and frankly neither do I given that it may potentially be an issue. See if the originator of this thread can provide the cfg configuration. N...

Re: Integrated Login second (or more) opinon(s)
Thank you everyone for your replys so far! Unfortunately, the department that sets up the server configurations is separate from my department that administers the rest of the application, so, while I trust that they set up the configuration according to Cognos's directions, I'm not entirely confide...

Simple, brilliant and it works beautifully!
Thanks for the fast reply, too.
I'm not sure why I didn't think about just using run statements, I had a "D'oh" moment when I read your suggestion.
Thanks!!

Using API to get Dimension Attributes

I've been able to pull the dimension elements by making changes to the sample code provided with the install. However, pull the corresponding Attribute has been ...

Integrated Login second (or more) opinon(s)
My IT department has been working on this for nearly a year and I'd like a second opinon about what may be happening. We are experiencing the following error message: Log In Failed: SystemServerConnectionInvalid We are on version 9.4 64-bit (we were among the very first to upgrade to the new system)...
