Manage Rights when a big chunk of elements are deleted

Hi all, In 10.2.2, when ever I delete a chunk of elements from the "Approval hierarchy" dimension and apply manage Rights, it takes 4-5 hours to complete the process in multi threaded configuration. <deployment maxThreads="4"/> Normal manage rights with 4 threads takes about an h...

Upgrade PAW from 2.0.4 to 2.0.6

Hi, I am planning Upgrading PAW from 2.0.4 to 2.0.6 on windows 2016 server. Is it as simple as creating a new folder and start the install keeping docker the same version or Should I delete the previous install folder? I do not see a service to uninstall. Can Docker remain the same? Please share you...

Re: Upgrading from 10.2.2 to PA

Sure Gustav.
I have not found anything worth suggesting. Also noticed that Manage rights (for contributor) is now taking 1.5 times in PA 2.0.4 compared to V10.2.2.
I have opened a ticket with IBM and they are almost like "It's expected".

Thanks,
Paul.

Re: Upgrading from 10.2.2 to PA

Hi, We have upgraded from 10.2.2 to PA 2.0.4. and also to PA 2.0.6 and we are still not Production ready. I was looking for experiences on the upgrade and wanted to continue the same thread. My experiences: 1. Server restart increased by 1.5 hrs. 2. Nightly chores increased by 2 Hrs and it was part ...

Loading to Database; ideas

Hi All, I am trying to write Project attributes to Database and have a question. I am looking for ideas on loading multiple attributes in one iteration of loop. The cube is 2 dimensional (Projects and Attributes) and giving intersection values. Now, when I create a view, it gives one intersection po...

PAW IP URL

Hi All, I have installed PAW and configured using the IBM video which was helpful. In the video starting at 29:39, it speaks about setting precedence to public IP URL. I do not have the public network ifIndex to change. Currently, my configuration is validated and status shows all services running. ...

Re: Is there a way to refresh all Contributor Views of all users globally?

Thanks Ykud.
Contributor views are not private views. The subsets change from time to time.
I thought deleting the blb files will do that trick. Is that not true?

I have disconnected all the active users this morning if not, I will delete the vue files. Thanks for the ideas.

Thanks,
Paul.

Re: Is there a way to refresh all Contributor Views of all users globally?

Thanks Wim. We have a weekly maintenance when the server restarts. We do not have persistent feeders (PF) as one of the feeders is an issue and we totally lose the benefit of PF. But I was looking for something when the server is up.

Thanks,
Luther.

Re: Is there a way to refresh all Contributor Views of all users globally?

Thanks Elessar, thanks for the reply.
TM1 maintenance utilty does not seem to have the capability and secondly, deleting all views and restarting is not possible as our server takes about 5 hours to restart.

I am still looking for a solution.

Thanks,
Luther.

Is there a way to refresh all Contributor Views of all users globally?

Hi All, I have changed a subset in a view and that does not reflect on all users in contributor. When users rest views, changes appear. Is there a way to reset all views to all users globally? One way is to remove all blb files? Once when I removed blb files, JavaScript errors popped and did not loo...

Re: Planning Analytics 2.0 - IE Browser issues

Hi Elessar,
Found the solution and it's compatibility settings.
There are two check boxes and settings should be like below.
"Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" should be checked off.
"USe Microsoft microsoft compatibility lists" should be checked on.

Thanks,
Paul.

Re: Planning Analytics 2.0 - IE Browser issues

Thanks Elessar.
"local intranet" and compatibility view settings --> "Display local intranet sites in Comp. view" have already been set.
I think our IE has been locked down IE and our IT is not as easy to work with.

Thanks again.
Paul.
