Hi all,
I have a group of users based in China. They requested that Server Explorer to be displaying Chinese. Note that they are referring to the GUI, not the TM1 object names like dimesions, cubes and elements.
Is this change to be effected at client side or server side? I have tried to change the Language parameter in tm1p.ini (client side) to SCH but Explorer still shows ENG.
I have also changed the Language pararmeter in tm1s.cfg to SCH but did not work.
Thirdly, I have even changed the OS language to Simplified Chinese together with the above changes and the GUI is still in ENG.
Any idea if having non-ENG GUI is possible?
Lastly, whenever we install TM1, the installer always prompt to select a language. As far I know about TM1 10, this selection only determines the language to use during the installation process. It does not mean that the installed TM1 Admin server or component will be in that language. What about 9.5.2?
I will try to reinstall the client and server using another language and see how it goes.
Look forward to your reply!
Harry

Re: How to display Chinese language user interface in Explor
Ok, here's the findings:
1. During Tm1 client installation, select a non-ENG language.
2. To switch between ENG and the selected non-ENG, use tm1p.ini's Language parameter, located on client PC.
3. Everything else, not required.
