Hi all,
I have an Active Form that allows users to enter planning data. As Autocalc in Excel is at Manual, user will of course like to see the updated consolidated values and rule-derived values after entering planning data.
In a non-Active Form DBRW table, pressing SHIFT-F9 will recalculate the current worksheet, thus updating the values. However, SHIFT-F9 does not work on Active Form. In fact, the planning data that was just entered will be reset back to previous values in the Active Form, although when I open the Cube Viewer, they are indeed sent to the server.
The values will only be refreshed in the Active Form if I press F9 (recalculate workbook) or Alt-F9 that rebuilds Active Form.
Can someone enlighten me if they are facing the same issue? My Active Form may have many rows (a few thousands), so it will take a long time if user rebuilds the Form for every updated input he wants to see. My idea is recalcuate worksheet will be faster.
Thanks.
Press SHIFT-F9 in Active Form has no effect

The way to refresh an active forum is by using Alt-F9. No way around it, or you use the command in the TM1 toolbar.

Re: Press SHIFT-F9 in Active Form has no effect
Unfortunately IBM "overlooked" Shift+F9 for active forms. If you use F9 as you have discovered then the values will recalc correctly. Or you can use Alt+F9 but the problem with this is it will rebuild the form and reset the row subset which is no good if users have drilled into rows. There is an outstanding enhancement request to make active forms behave as expected for a Shift+F9 recalc. (but for now you have to use F9).
