Hello,
We have the following configuration :
Machine 1 => Server with a Tm1 server installed (Prod), AdminHost1
Machine 2 => Server with a Tm1 server installed (Dev1, Dev2, Dev3), AdminHost2
Each Server Prod, Dev1, Dev2, Dev3 has it's own service.
Prod is hosted by a dedicated intall of Tm1 server.
Dev 1, 2, 3 arehosted by the same tm1 server install but run concurrently.
Question of the day :
Should a "Save Data All" executed on "Prod" have an impact on people from "Dev1",
If Yes in which case ?
In my opinion, it would be the case as long as the user is connected to both of the server.
Can you think about any option to compartiment server interraction better ?
Thanks,
Kind Regards,
Olivier

Re: Multiple applications (Servers) interractions
In my experience a data save on any server - same box, different box, doesn't matter - is going to affect anyone who is logged on to that server regardless of whether they're connected to other servers as well. Unless this has changed in versions later than 8.2.12, I'm not aware of anything that will get around that. I'd be happy to hear of anything that did, of course.Olivier wrote: Question of the day :

Re: Multiple applications (Servers) interractions
Thanks for the fast feedback.
That is my experience too.
I guess I finally have a good reason to kick users from the server...
Kind Regards,
Olivier
