Hi,
Do you have a specific problem with a specific version of Excel or specific Version of TM1?
Or are you just curious whether there ever were instances in all possible combinations of TM1 and Excel?

If the former is the case then try and describe it more specifically. In both cases try a search on the forum and IBM website.

Excel, on its own, is never going to crash the TM1 server. However, there are some things you can do via Perspectives/ Xclerator that will cause a crash. Examples:

1. See this IBM APAR which addresses this topic and possible this one
2. If you request, or refresh a view, where a rule-calculation has a circular reference this can cause a server crash
3. You could click an action button which calls a TI which may cause a server crash. Search for 'ti crash' on this forum and you will see some discussion of this.
4. Similarly to (3) you can write VBA which can cause all sorts of havoc, including server crashes. There are definitely ways of abusing the API that can crash the server.

Like Gregor says, if you've a specific problem, try and take the time to write it down in more detail and then you will get more assistance.
