N33 Connection Failed in TM1 Perspectives

Post by kris.adrianto »

Dear experts,

I have just installed TM1 v10.1.0 on two server, Development and QA, both on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit. On Development server, we have two instances: Dev and TRN (Training). We have a problems when users trying to connect to the server via TM1 Perspectives. After defining Admin Host on Options Menu, I click 'Connect' to connect to the server. After choosing the server ID (instance), suddenly the Client ID and Password field is greyed out (I can't type the id and password there). After I click OK, then the error message is shown: N33) Connection Failed. When I try to connect via TM1 Architect, the server instance is appearing on the list but when I double clicked on it, nothings happens. There is no popup windows for login.

I tried to connect between Dev and QA servers using TM1 Architect (there is no Excel on the server so it's not possible to use Perspectives). I'm using TM1 Architect in Development Server connect to Server in QA, and I can login successfully.

Anyone have an idea to solve my problem? Is the problem about port number? Or do I have to apply fix pack 1 to solve this problem?

FYI, we're using port 42136, 28147 and 14063 as port for each instance.

Thanks and best regards,

Dear All,

IBM support tell my team to add IPaddress parameter to TM1s.cfg and set it to True conditions (IPaddress=T). Now it works! Client can connect to server without any problems... But it seems strange to me, as in the guide IPaddress paramater is filled by IP number, not by logic condition.

Got it. so i used the parameter IPaddress=T as a first parameter in .cfg file and it worked. This issue happened only with my Development server which is a Virtual Machine. Thanks
