Relative Proportional Spread using API

Hello All,

Our client is not in favour of using the right click option in Perspectives to do Relative Proportional Spread or Relative Percent Adjustment.
Hence I was hoping if we could use the VB API options to automate the Relative Proportional Spread and Relative Percent Adjustment in Perspectives.
However I was hoping somebody could give me a few pointers and some sample code on how to go about doing this.

We are using Cognos Express 9.5.1 Xcelerator on Windoes 2008 R2.
