TM1Web problem with IE browser

Post by siroyuth »

Hi All,

I would like to asking help from your guys about TM1 web. I found problem during access TM1 server via TM1 web with IE browser. When I entered user name & password on log-in page and click log-in. I'll find error message "Session timed out. Please login again" as below;

It's so strange because this problem occur with IE only not on Firefox. Moreover, if I enter TM1 web with IP address (such as http://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/tm1web), this problem will not happen.

I check permission and all TM1 configurations
- TM1Web folder permission --> set "Everyone" to have full permission
- Session configuration --> checking configure all configuration that involved with session time out on Web.config level , IIS level, ASP.NET level. Everything
is normally.
- IE Configuration --> I set security and cookies level to lowest level but still not work.

Here is my Environment information

Server OS: Windows 2003 R2 64 bits
TM1 Version: 9.5.1 (9.5.10000.5424) 64 bits
IE Version: 8.0
Firefox version: 3.6.8
*TM1 Web and Application server are deployed in the same server

Anyone who has idea to diagnose or solve this problem.

Thank you for your help :)

I think the problem is with the IE security settings. Have you tried to logon to TM1Web from some other computer using IE?

If you can logon from some other machine then you will have to look at the IE settings here:

IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab -> Internet/Local internet -> Custom Level

I cant recall the what the exact option to check here. Check the options for .Net Framework, ActiveX and Download

or else you can try Resetting your IE

IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Reset
Cheers!
