Dynamic report Rebuild Book - fails after disconnect / reconnect

Wondering if anyone has seen and found a solution for this. After disconnecting and reconnecting within excel a dynamic reports rebuild book fails

Scenario
* Dynamic form in Excel (any cube any data - as long as its dynamic)
* Normal refresh / rebuild book works OK (under 1 second)
* Disconnect and re-connect from TM1 from Excel
* rebuild report - takes 5 mins (exactly 5 mins to refresh)

Practically this happens when people time out due to inactivity (and it is a nuisance), above is an easy way to replicate the issue.

Any solutions that anyone can offer. Increase the time out will hide the issue but create others.
