TM1Web URL API and Action Button Issue

Post by mce »

Hello,

We have a problem with URL API and actions buttons in TM1Web.
When a websheet is opened via URL API, the action buttons that open other websheets or other sheets of the same tm1workbook does not work. Anyone avare of this issue? What is the solution?
I need to get websheet opened via URL API but then the user should be able to open other websheets by pressing the action button in that websheet.

Regards,

version: PA.2.0.9.1

Ah, I can see you raised in a couple of topics :)

It's a bug, raise a ticket with IBM support, we had it fixed in some iteration of 2.0.6. I thought the fix would be incorporated in 2.0.9.1, but it apparently isn't :(

I wish they would fix the context menu options for websheets or cube views opened via URL API. The fact that you have no spreading menu and can't drill-through from windows that are opened via URL API severely limits applications you can build with TM1Web.

Every time we have raised this though we always get the response that the omission is by design and hence it's a "feature" rather than a bug.
Please place all requests for help in a public thread. I will not answer PMs requesting assistance.

Yep, this killed the drill-down functionality for me a long while back. Very annoying.

Don't think they'll ever change this, given the 'replacing Tm1web with spreadsheet service within PaW' direction.

Thanks for the comments. Could you note of the APAR number for the fix you get in 2.0.6 so that we can refer to the same issue and tell them it is appearing in the latest version as well. When we tested this in 2.0.8, we saw that this problem is there as well.

PH14637: ACTIONBUTTON'S OPTION "GO TO ANOTHER WORKSHEET" DOESN'T WORK IN WORKSHEET WAS OPENED WITH URLAPI PA 2.0.6 IF15
it's marked as addressed in 2.0.9.1 fix list:

I now realized that IBM's PA demo environment is not 2.0.9.1. It is an IF of 2.0.9. Hence it does not have this fix there. Will check it in 2.0.9.1 separately.
