I did a Cognos Express 10.2.1 SSL Update recently.

It says in Step 5 that you may not have a pmpsvc folder so some of the steps may not be applicable.

I did have a pmpsvc folder but didn't have pmpsvc\WEB-INF\Bin64\ssl folder so I ignored the 3rd bit of Step 5 and also ignored some of the later bits such as Step 12 as there was nothing to copy. It all worked fine.

Edit: I suspect not relevant but I was using Native TM1 authentication.

HTH,

Tom

I haven't seen much talk about the Cognos BI 10.2 bin64\ssl directory. I understand that the Tm1 client needs to be upgraded on the Cognos BI server through the flash updates + manual tasks (uninstall, import, ikeyman command) but have any of you also replaced the default applixca cert that gets installed by the Cognos server install? i.e. <CognosInstall>\bin64\ssl\.

Currently on the BI server I have Cognos BI installed in one dir and another dir for the TM1 client.

Cheers!

You only have to concern yourself with BI if you use TM1 as a data source for BI.
Then go here and read the TN specifically designed for that scenario

Anyone know?

Hi Everyone,

Have anyone faced any issue with ODBO connection (We are using to copy data between TM1 instances using MDX). Maybe someone can please direct me to where to look upon. Before upgrade connection was working but afterwards we getting error Cannot connect to ODBO datasource. I am sorry if someone have posted on this and I couldn't find same.

Just for the logs (solved for me):
Recently we changed the SSL certificates and mostly it still works. Just a login to one particular server wasn't possible anymore, (only remote! locally it worked).
Nothing changed except the ssl-stuff. Idea from IBM helpdesk: The IPaddress="..."-entry in TM1s.cfg was missing only with this server. That worked.
Whyever this wasn't needed before, but now this obviously is essential...
