Hi,
We combine TM1 Perspectives 10.2.2 and CAFE 10.2.2 on Excel 2010 to create a sales planning tool for an automobile company.
A suite of Excel templates to commit data were designed for the planners. Sometimes the CAFE toolbar, which contains the refresh and the commit button, disappear, often after some classical Excel formatting by these planners, such as column width changes, conditional highlights, etc.
Can anybody kindly share his experience and explain how can the toolbar disappear ? What's the reason ? How to solve it ? Is it really related to Excel formatting ?
Thanks
Regards

Re: [CAFE 10.2] How can the toolbar under the ribbon disappe
It used to be recommended that CAFE and Perspectives should not run at the same time(I don't know if this has changed, if anybody has experienced problems please share). I am not sure if your issue has something to do with this, but you can give it a try by running only CAFE and trying to replicate the issue.
I also recommend using the latest versions of CAFE(or at least check what they have fixed in each fixpack/version) because it is still a new tool under continuous development therefore number of issues encountered by users are reported to IBM for fixing.

Re: [CAFE 10.2] How can the toolbar under the ribbon disappear ?
Any new ideas ?
I came across again this problem. When I changed my flex view, I realized that the toolbar disappeared, for all the flex views in the same Excel file, without knowing exactly when it happened

Hello,
We also had problems with the toolbar - in interaction with VBA.
the VBA ran on error and the labels of the toolbar disappeared.
the solution was: switch off the toolbar - run vba - switch on the toolbar.
mayby this could help?

Re: [CAFE 10.2] How can the toolbar under the ribbon disappear ?
If I can put the question in another way, how CAFE recognizes a flex view in an Excel worksheet ? The "link" must be broken between CAFE and Excel, but how can I fix it ?
Thanks robert for your kind help, but the toolbar here refers to the Flex View toolbar between the Excel ribbons and the cells, your problem was related to TM1 ribbon.robert wrote:Hello,

Re: [CAFE 10.2] How can the toolbar under the ribbon disappear ?
Hello, I was curious if you ever discovered what caused this error - the unexpected disappearance of flex views, or rather, unexpected conversion of flex views to static? I have searched high and low for someone who seems to have documented and resolved an issue like this - this seems the closest that I've found.
Thanks,
melanie

Recently, we encoutered again this issue, the table should be a flex view, with all the names correctly defined in the Excel Name Manager. But the CAFE toolbar was not there, no flex view in the Action Pane, and the table cannot be cleared or refreshed.
Maybe the only way to figure this out is to check every component of this XLSX ? We haven't time to do it till now.
