I would like to see an overhaul of the entire TM1 interface so that we have a consistent set of features with clear purposes across all the components, both Web and Desktop.
You could say that IBM's ambitious and on the whole praiseworthy TM1 evolutionary roadmap is more 'punctuated equilibrium' than it is gradual, and I find this confusing. For instance, what is an 'Application'? Is it a web-based contributor or other planning model, or is it a file/shortcut that sits on the Explorer folder marked 'Applications'? Given the former, is the application type contributor with a small or large 'C'? And what happended to Contributor anyway? Is it now Cognos Insight?
When is a rule not a rule? When it is a dimension calculation field. Are we to have both Perspectives and CAFE for long or is the former to be deprecated?
I wish IBM would articulate this evolutionary road map more clearly and take the time to make the GUI consistent therewith.
Rationalise the GUI and feature set.
