Hi,
When I use a Dimension Subset as a data source in a TI process the preview does not show the alias name even though the subset has the alias set.
And when reading the data it doesn't show the alias either.
Is it a limitation that aliases do not show when the data source is Dimension Subset?

Yes. You would retrieve the values in the Metadata and/or Data tab of the process. Or use the element attributes cube as the data source.

Hi Wim,
thanks for the confirmation,
Yes I had come to the conclusion that using the element attributes cube as the source or looping over the elements to get the alias were the alternatives.

Re: Dimension Subset TI Data Source Alias
Not a limitation, a feature!

It doesn't matter what alias is assigned to subsets used in datasources (views and subsets). From a data source variable perspective TI will always read the principal name.
As suggested already you can always use the principal name to return whichever attribute value you choose on the metadata or data tabs.
Please place all requests for help in a public thread. I will not answer PMs requesting assistance.
