Copying a tab from one PAW book to another

Post by gtonkin »

If you have ever needed to copy a tab from one PAW book to another, please read this article on the IBM Community.
It describes how to locate the necessary source JSON and how to insert it into the target book.

This obviously saves a whole lot of time needed to recreate the tab as well as reducing the risk of missing out on any subtle configuration not immediately visible e.g. conditional formatting.

Edit: And yes, like Michael Colditz pointed out on LinkedIn, you can select and group then pin the widgets and transfer to another book but you may miss some canvass settings and would need to repeat for each tab if copying multiple tabs. Previously I would have pinned but this seems quicker for me. YMMV!
