PAW Books - Default Books as landing page for different users

Post by chewza »

Hi Guys

Is there a way to ensure that when a user logs on they are presented with a default book/dashboad as their landing page?
Different users need to have different landing pages.

Much appreciated!

Hi chewza, as for my understanding ,this feature has not been introduced yet, hence would not be possible as of now. Thank you.

Hi,

Yes, at the moment there is no default redirect to a landing page from the PAW url for different users.

Each book does however have its own URL, that you can take from the "Share" options. So you can have users save that as a shortcut to navigate to instead of using the main URL.

Thanks,

Hi,

This seems like such an obvious real world requirement it amazes me this was not in the product from day 1.

Not that I lose much sleep that it isn't there.

Hello,

One possible work around is to send everyone to the same book, which has general information, announcements, and also a button that says "click here to begin".

The button doesn't actually do anything, rather the magic is a 0% visibility overlay of a websheet which has a single cell, a hyperlink function with DBRW pointing to a cell in your tm1db which may be dynamic link destination.

Works well for us. Hope this can be of benefit to the team here.
Take care.
Adam
