TM1 Web negative number didnot allowed

Post by mincharug.shulft »

TM1 web report is not allowing to enter the negative number. while we/user tried entering the negative numbers in TM1 Web for certain intersection then it is popup the error. the error is "incorrect dollars for the resource type". but if I go to cube viewer in the same combination then input number then I am able to enter the data. Any suggestions pls why I am getting the error?

we are using PA Local 2.0.3 version.

Is the report made on the basis of a websheet (on Excel by TM1 Perspectives) or a simple view?
If it is a websheet, then it looks like a format problem on the Excel side.
If a view, then this is a strange situation. Maybe clean broweser's cache?

Hi PowerDim, it is an active form report developed using perspectives. and published to the TM1 web. Excel format how to check that?

note: I am able to enter the negative number in the tm1 view but in the same combination in the tm1 web report I am not able to enter throwing an error.

You need to check a format cell in a hidden area in your active form for the row you want to write values to.
Check the link for finding hidden area:

Hi PowerDim, I have checked the format of the report. it is set to N for granular level elements (input elements). but the interesting part is I am able to input the negative numbers in the cube viewer but not able to input in the web. Any other thoughts pls?

How old is the report, has it just been created? If not try creating a new spreadsheet with a basic active form and uploading, is the result the same? Or better still have one dbrw formula pointing and see if that works.

Either way it should point you in the right direction to fixing the problem.

Also do all users experience the same issue and do the symptoms occur over different types of browsers?

I'm wondering if there's a data validation set within the format area of the active form (for n if that's what the row is using) that rejects it if the value is negative. It doesn't look like a typical error message but custom made.
