DBRW not showing values until pressing enter in cells

Post by macsir »

I have an existing slicing report with DBRW. Most of them are fine in PAfE v52 except for several cells which are always showing ”#value”. The formula is alright with right value in Perspectives. And in PAfE, it can show the right value until I press enter in the formula.

Did I miss something and need to enable some magic configuration somewhere???

After all testing, I found it is due to a subset was used in one of DBRW formulas in a sheet. As IBM decided not to support this, the report was actually partially refreshed. Only the parts before this referencing point was refreshed fine, not the ones after or including this specific sheet.

This change actually makes developer/end users pretty hard to debug or trace. It took me two days on this problem! :(

I should say there is no sequence of wrong-refreshed sheet with a subset inside it. As long as you have a subset in DBRW references in PAfE, then all sheets are just partially refreshed no matter where the subset is.
