Creating New Dimension Hierarchy

Post by rfielden »

Pardon but another of my newbie questions. Trying to create a new hierarchy in our cost_center dimension: All States: State: County: Cost Center. I have both in Excel spreadsheet and Oracle table. I wrote process but is putting erronous n elements under county consolidation element. Any clues?

SQL process script pulling (sample rows):

All States SC York 10234
All States SC York 10153
All States NC Mecklenburg 10756

When looking at dimension within editor, could see:

All States
SC
York
10234
10756

Thanks, Rick.

Are you using TI to load the data? Can you go to the Advanced tab and copy the code from the Data tab within there?

Make sure the mappings of your parents and children are correct.
