How do you scale the hardware needed by both client (TM1 Perspective) and TM1 Server for like 99 Users.
I also heard that Excel 2007 takes up alot of memory but I'm not sure how much? How can I incoorporate to the client unit for bettr performance.
I know all of these are dependent on the models but a rough basic scaling tip would be nice.

Re: Server & Client
so many things influence performance that its near impossible to say. certain areas are critical (RAM on server etc) but performance for x number of users will be difficult to guess without actually building some models and getting users to test it in your environment.
for instance, are all the users connecting via the LAN or are some WAN based?
do all of them connect at once, or is it spread out over the month?
is it all via server explorer or do they use web / excel?
are they grabbing data or changing it too?
are the models heavy or light on rules?
+ million other things

If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.
