hi,
me and my pal are developing a TM1 project. We find it a hassle to having to swap TM1 data files just to sync up. We are not working from a server yet, thus we have to develop it on our own laptops locally.
I was trying to establish an adhoc PC connection through wirless, hoping that I can run the TM1 server from my PC and then my pal will connect wirelessly to my PC and access it like a TM1 server. this way, we can both load data and update codes on the same files.
However, when he tried to set up the Admin Host by entering my Pc's IP address, it was not able to detect my TM1 server. i was running it as a Windows service. Anyone has any experience in setting this up?
I'm running Vista Home Premium while my pal is running XP Pro. both on Excel 2003.
Thanks for your advice in advance!

download a free DHCP server for your host and set up a regular windows network..?

Think static IPs should be fine, plus looking at firewall issues if any. TM1 Admin server is locked to 5495, the TM1 server itself uses the port you specify in the config file, default is 12345.
