TM1 Contributor - approval hierarchy

Hi All,

We currently have a dimension that has that 3 levels (level 2,1,0) i.e. Product Dimension:
2 - All Products
1 - Country {USA, Italy, England}
0 - Product {Item A, Item B ..}

This dimension is to be used for the contributor workflow BUT we only want users to select a country, therefore ignoring level 0.
As contributor only allows an approval hierarchy based on 1 top level consolidation and all children, we need to think outside the box. (Yes we could create another dimension in the cube called country, but let’s say we don't want to do this as we already have the country in the products dim).

Any ideas?

Hi

You can select a country in the approval hierarchy, all products will appear below on the grid; but only if products were displayed o the approval hierarchy on the workflow screen
Or you ask to show countries only? that works only if you do not assign full view depth rigths to users but I assume this is not your intention.

So I think you answered your own question, it is not possible to show only countries and at the same time seeing countries and products on the grid. Unless you use 2 dimensions. Or you find out a custom workflow, forgetting Contributor
