Cannot update data in active form

Hi, I cannot update certain data in an active form unless I click 'update' in the TM1 ribbon to save the document onto the server.

I've tried all the usual rebuild and refresh shortcuts.

It only happens with certain data.

This has been bugging me for approx. 6 months so any advice much appreciated!

By data do you mean numbers and string entered to the active form via dbrw formulas or something else?
The "update" button should have nothing to do with data and is just about saving the layout of the sheet to the applications folders.
