Hi,
I found a rule file with errors in them.
The check syntax button and trying to save it detected the errors.
The errors were syntax errors.
However, on server startup through a service the errors in the rule files were not picked up.
It should have picked up the error and logged it right? But for some reason I found no such thing in the message log file.
Any reason why something of this nature would happen?
TM1 version is 9.1 SP3

Have a look in the Application section of the Windows Event Log on the server machine.
Messages that would appear as dialog boxes if you were starting the server as an application will appear in the Event Log if you are starting the server as a service.
