TM1 Application Server fails and shows HTTP Status 500

Dear all,

I previously installed TM1 components my machine successfully. Unfortunately, I can not access TM1 Application Server (http://localhost:9510/pmpsvc/applications.jsp) this week, which shows HTTP Status 500 - Unable to compile class for JSP:

• type: Exception report
• message: Unable to compile class for JSP
• description: The server encountered an internal error that...
• exception: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP: (line 51 in /format.jspf, & line 70 in /session.jspf).

And my environment are:

• Apache Tomcat: 6.0.41 (Default with Cognos TM1)
• Java version: 1.8.0_60 (Oracle)
• Java Install Path: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_60\jre

Although I re-installed everything, it still pop-ups the same error message. Does anyone have the experience to fix this issue? Thanks a lot!

I am experiencing the same problem. Tm1 web working fine but tm1 application portal is through http 5000 error message
