Dim Files
I got a question since I'm currently having issues with TM1 as a service I decided to create a new database but when I checked the Data Directory I noticed certain files which I never noticed before. I notice a file similar to the DIM file appear but have an extension like a date stamp of some sort.

Re: Dim Files
not used 9.4 much but those suffixes look like date / time stamps. YYYYMMDD then looks like number of seconds since midnight. Not all are of the same format tho. Have a look thru the admin guides (don't hold out much hope but you never know) and it might mention them. Might relate to temp files used during the day to ensure if a server crashes it can recover the lastest versions, or maybe part of the data logging setup which i know goes in to far too much detail and creates logs the size of Everest...
If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.
