Summing Process

Does anyone have any helpful hints what the 'best practice' or any practice would be to summarize cube data. i.e. We have a cube built that houses period, dept, class and measure data. Based upon user inputs (parameters) where the select specific periods and classes are selected, that the data is summarized for reporting purposes.

I may be missing something here, but....
Charts? If you build and maintain proper charts on each dimension, you'll get the totals you want.
