I am trying to achieve importing data of a cube in a different TM1 server using TI and the verison is 10.2.2. After providing ODBO Connection details, Source and Target cubes are selected in Load ODBO Cube tab. TM1 cube action is "Update". Hard part for me is selecting options in Cube Dimensions part. In this tab, ODBO Dimension and TM1 Dimension names are same(I created that way) . What should be the appropriate "TM1 Dimension Action" to do a "Data Transfer". While working around with different dimension actions, new dimension elements are added as "Element Name_1" in the target dimensions and the new combination contains the data transferred.
For example, in source , the combination is "CubeName", "Dimension1Element", "Dimension1Element", Value whereas in target, I have "CubeName", "Dimension1Element_1", "Dimension1Element_2", Value. Probably, when I tested with the "TM1 Dimension Action" as "Update", gave this result. But, other actions did not do the data transfer.
Could someone please help me to fix this?
Also, I am curious to know after providing the connection details like ODBO Data Source, password for the first time, where are these values stored? Because, when I deleted the TIs and tried to rebuild the same, as soon as I select the "ODBC Provider", other fields are automatically filled in.
Note: There is no such actual requirement to do this in my model. I just want to try out the available data transfer options.
