Hi Gurus,
This is a basic question.
How do we import TM1 Applications into Cognos Configuration? I have a TM1 - 10.2.2 instance on Cognos 10.2.1 integrated with CAM security. I do not know how the TM1 applications sprang into BI. How do we re-import into BI?
I want to rename the "IBM Cognos TM1 Application - My Applications" folder to another custom name on BI. I tried editing "D:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64\configuration\CogStartup.xml" on application and web servers after renaming the folder to "-OLD". On recycling the services another folder "IBM Cognos TM1 Application - My Applications" got created in Cognos Connection where the applications are not working.
Thanks,
Paul.

Re: TM1 Applications in Cognos BI
If you wanted to rename that folder you can do it in the pmpsvc_config.xml file in the tm1 webapps folder. "Folder Name" and "Appdef Path" are the name and path parameters. I believe they get recreated every time you restart the service; haven't changed the name/path often enough to test that though.
As you've encountered it's generally a bad idea to delete any or rename any autogenerated files/folders; for BI purposes you could have just hidden it so no one would see it. You can get the specific URLs for each application and just create your own repository in BI (or anywhere else for that matter) but not sure off the top of my head why the links in your newly created folder don't work; have you used the properties option to find out what URL's they are going to?
