Hi, I am new to TM1 and hope that someone help me with a problem.
Is it possible to remove 'total element' from a hierarchy dimension? All attempts at doing this fail - after executing the process, the 'create total element' box goes back to being ticked, so I assume that this is the case.
Thank you for your guidance in advance.

Can you be more specific? What is your Turbo Integrator code?
What "Advanced" tabs in the process do you use ?

Re: hierarchy dimension and total element
The OP is using Performance Modeller wizard to create the dimension as opposed to TI; hence the "Create Total Element" tick box. I've just tested this on an example in 10.2.2 though and left the box unticked when I set up the process; ran it and the dim was created without a Total. I then closed it all down and went back in and it was still unticked as it was when I saved it.
What exact version are you using? Can you post a screenshot of your "Maps" tab from PM?

Re: hierarchy dimension and total element
Oh thanks, I did not realize the Performance Modeler part.

Re: hierarchy dimension and total element
Just another thought on this, I haven't used PM much for this sort of thing but when I previously did some testing I found that it didn't always seem to like it when i changed an existing process. Did you originally create it with the "create total element" box ticked and then open it up and untick then save? If so I would try recreating from scratch but without ticking the box from the offset.... and then if that resolves it, you can definitely call it a bug and log it with IBM.

Re: hierarchy dimension and total element
Hello, thank you for your comments. I have attached a screenshot of the maps page. The total has a caption. Could this be causing the issue?
(I am trying to remove total element from the Grades dimension. I can untick the box just fine, but after saving, the box reverts back to being ticked.)
Thank you again
