I implemented BI security with BI and it is working good. The problem is when a new user logs in they are automatically put in the group cognos\everyone and not their assigned grouped.
did i miss a step in the AD configuration or do i have to do this manually which doesn't sound logic.
any help would be apreciated

I presume you mean "when they log into TM1 they only get assigned to the everyone group"?
If so have you imported all the relevant CAM groups to TM1 before the user logs in? Using mode 5 causes the user to be assigned to any Cognos group which has previously been imported to TM1 on the condition they are assigned to it in Cognos. In order to import the groups you need to make sure that AllowImportCamClients=T is specified in your tm1p.ini file.
