TM1 10.2 FP1 Web problem

Post by AWTM1 »

Hi,

We have a models that have view formatting created. When a users changes a saved view to analyse the data, the formatting changes back to the default format on the attributes. This doesn't happen in 9.5.2 web or in the cube views through architect in either version. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Is there anything that could be done other than change the attributes formats. Can the default formatting be changed from two decimals?

Regards

Andrew

You might need to be a bit more specific about what the exact problem is. But you do realise that there is a priority order for determining the format to assign (as you can assign element number format to multiple dimensions hence there needs to be a way to determine which to apply should they collide).
1. Format of column elements (if nested then last dimension has priority)
2. Format of row elements (if nested then last dimension has priority)
3. Format of title/filter elements (last dimension has priority)
4. Format applied to the view with options > format

Hence when a view is rearranged the number format can change as a result depending on how formatting is set on other dimensions.
Please place all requests for help in a public thread. I will not answer PMs requesting assistance.

Hi many thanks for the reply, these are specific views set up using option 4 above confirmed by LOTSARAM, no formatting exists in the dimension attributes. But when the view is changed in TM1 web 10.2, the view format options disappear and it goes to the tm1 default format which is 2 decimals. This issues is new for us only on 10.2. I am aware of the priority for formatting. Please let me know if this is unclear.

Previously the format that was set in the originating view would remain when changing the dimension order etc.

Sounds like a bug. This is quite possible given the TM1 web rewrite in Version 10.2.

Have you reported it to IBM?
