I believe, and I think that Flight Lieutenant Cook Garry will back me up on this, that the Royal Flying Corps works very well with TurboIntegrator in version 10.2, notwithstanding that the version that you have nominated in your profile is actually 9.0. The S.E.5 language subset works marginally better than the Sopwith Camel one unless a sharp right hand bank in the data flow is required, but aside from that the RFC can put on a bally good show with its TI prowess, what ho, chaps?

(I'm assuming that RFC did stand for Royal Flying Corps and not for Remote Function Call given that the setup of the latter is described fully in the Installation and Configuration guide and that there is page after page after page in the TI Guide that deals with that subject. It's therefore inconceivable that you would simply not have bothered to read all of that before asking such a question. It is inconceivable, is it not?)

I'm going to take a guess you're talking about SAP RFC tables. The IBM Cognos SAP Connector is via Framework Manager and supports only read-only connections to BW InfoCubes. IBM do not offer any connection to SAP ECC RFC tables. If you want to connect directly to RFC tables either via Extractors or OpenSQL queries then you will need to use a 3rd party ETL tool that supports this, for Example Cubeware Importer.

If you aren't meaning SAP RFC tables then I have no idea what you are on about.
Please place all requests for help in a public thread. I will not answer PMs requesting assistance.

Im not sure how the licensing works but a few years ago Cognos purchased the software from a Company called "Composite" that did have a certified SAP ECC/R3 connector. Currently if you own BI I believe you also get whats called Virtual View Manager. The basic concept is that VVM can connect to SAP and in Cognos BI you add VVM as a datasource. Underneath the covers VVM handles all the necessary code changes to allow Cognos to pass SQL queries down to SAP. While VVM does have an ODBC connection, it has been limited to only work when connected to by the Cognos BI Service. This would mean you are limited to package connector.

Long story short, I believe you could use VVM to connect to SAP ECC, then use Framework Modeler to create a package that exposed the SAP data, and then use package connector in TM1 to ETL the data in.
