Hi all
Has anyone seen this error message before? Can't recall seeing it in any prior release - doesn't appear to be SSL or Certificate related. Cheers

No, I haven't seen that. But given the fact that you're just running a local server I'd be looking at one of two things; either an issue with your options configuration (possible but unlikely), or a problem with either the control cubes or the custom user files or folders in your database directory.belair22 wrote:Hi all

I'd be inclined to shut down the local server, take a copy of the folder just in case, then blow away the }Clients dimension. (Probably the }Groups one and the }ClientGroups cube too.) When you restart these should be regenerated, though you'll need to log in under the generic Admin login.

Re: TM1 9.4 - Perspectives/Client - Login Issue
HI Alan - appreciate the reply.
Ignore the local server - had to amend the screenshot b/c of client confidentiality but I am connecting to a TM1 server on a different dedicated machine.
FYI the issue occurs for 10% of users - the remaining 90% work fine.

You didn't mention if this issue was with integrated login or standard login ...

Re: TM1 9.4 - Perspectives/Client - Login Issue
Standard Log-in.
Nothing to do with Integrated log-in or LDAP.
Suprising no-one has seen this or has recalled seeing this in past versions - leads me to believe its specific to 9.4.

Re: TM1 9.4 - Perspectives/Client - Login Issue
Is it possible that the client is unable to read the .ini file for the application for some reason, possibly windows security?

Now there IS a thought. What's the O/S on the client side of those having this problem... it wouldn't happen to be Vista would it?Steve Rowe wrote:Is it possible that the client is unable to read the .ini file for the application for some reason, possibly windows security?
This thread bears witness to a known problem with Vista and .ini files being in the same folder as the executable files:

Re: TM1 9.4 - Perspectives/Client - Login Issue
Quick Update:
Issue is non-TM1 related, a configuration issue (possibly on the Server or Client PC) - this specific PC is unable to do anything other than ping the server (no access to files on the server, can't remote onto the server) - just to confirm it is machine specific (majority of users don't have this issue).
Cheers.
