We came across the situation that a database started up but did not register - in the server log, everything seemed to have been loaded, only the message 'notifying the admin server' was missing.
We took a look with netstat -o and found there were three TM1 database processes in status CLOSE_WAIT, plus the TM1ExcelService. Sorry I did not save the original netstat output, but I remember there were no conflicting ports.
We killed those database processes, but only after we also restarted the Excel Service did the first one successfully notify the admin server and is now available in the Architect.
I do not quite understand what was behind that. Can anyone shed some light on this?
