Hi
Im connected to a customer that has TM1 10.1.1 but using Insight 10.2 or 10.2.1 (I've tried both). When i drag a dimension into the workspace i get the attached error message. Has anyone seen this before and know a solution for it?
/Peter

In TM1 it is never permitted to connect to an earlier version of the server from a later version of the client.
The error message (what you have let us see of it) doesn't appear to get that message across very well, does it?

Re: Error Cognos Insight 10.2.1 or 10.2 using dimensions
Is it any dimension or is it a particular one?
There was a problem at one stage if a dimension had elements with accented characters which, if compared case-insensitively, would match but were treated as different by the TM1 server because it doesn't treat (e.g.) É as the same as é.
The error message in that case had these "Facet" functions in the stack, so I just wondered.
[EDIT] If this is the problem you can get round it by specifying UnicodeUpperLowerCase=T in the TM1S.CFG of the server. Although it is only documented for 10.2 it is still valid for 10.1. Mind you if you do this the dimension will report duplicate elements.

Hi
Its some dimensions but i cant get any logic around them since, some of them work and some do not.
Im upgrading to TM1 10.2 now and hopefully it will work better then. Ill post here if it does work .
