Hi All,
We are using tm1 9.5.1 and for one cube, around 300 lines of rules and feeders takeing an hour to save and meanwhile the architect window freezes so not being able to use it.
To find out which Rule / feeder is taking time we removed all statement from rule editor and kep only SKIPCHECK, but it still took 1 minute to save.
- Antivirus is disable, still no go
- all other cubes can save their rule files normally. only issue with one cube.
- deleted and created new rule file, still taking the same time.
Any ideas / suggestions .
pls help.

The time it is taking is to process the feeders. If you are taking all the feeder lines out and trying to save then I recommend taking down the service, deleting the rules file(s) (CubeName.rux AND CubeName.blb) and then restarting. Then you can start with your line by line analysis. I suggest you spend time looking at your feeders to make sure you are not overfeeding.

Hi Tomok,
Yes that helped. Thanks a lot
Empty file does not take time to save once deleted the cube-name.blb and cube-name.rux following a restart of TM1 server.
Can you suggest some best feeder writing suggestions / links to refer as some feeders once saved take 15 mins to compute. Its a single cube, and the cube is not used as reference by other tm1 cubes, rules.
Thanks in advance!

Re: TM1 9.5.1 rule editor takes a minute to save empty rule
Unfortunately, it's not that easy. Feeding every cube is different and is entirely dependent on how that cube is designed. The key is you feed from where the raw data is and only feed those rule-calculated cells that will have results based on the formulas and raw data. It's all dependent on the logical structure of your model. I recommend reading the TM1 Rules Guide (should be accessible through Help) if you haven't already done so.tm1novice wrote:Hi Tomok,
