In case any 10.1 users missed it, this morning (my time) IBM issued a security alert (link here). The alert is light on for details other than that it exposes the server to a denial of service attack, though from the sounds of it a pretty specific set of circumstances would have to occur before a real world user would be at risk. The only known workaround is to apply the relevant patches:
TM1 10.1.0 on Windows - Install Cognos TM1 10.1 FP1 and then IF2
TM1 10.1.0 on Unix and Linux - Install Cognos TM1 10.1 FP1 and then contact IBM Technical Support to obtain the interim fix.
TM1 10.1.1 on all platforms - Download and install IBM Cognos TM1 10.1.1 FP1
