Setting cube properties

Post by DrGali »

Background: I've only been working with TM1 for a couple of months. I've been through the 5-day online course "Design and Develop Models" - 9.5. I've inherited a couple of House of Card applications, written by 4 separate consultants.

Until I can catch up on the gazillion rules and processes (bandaid after badaid,) I'll have to wing it with help from this forum and what I can do with IBM support.

Question:

I have a Reporting Cube that is built off of two identical cubes for two separate locations. I wanted to look at that data together in Report Studio, but when I went to build the FM model, I was informed these two cubes don't have a measure dimension. I know how to set that property, etc., but my question is: If I set the data dimension on these two feeding cubes as a measure dimension, will that affect all the other cubes that are being fed? I'm unsure of the impact of setting the measure and time properties.

Thanks in advance,

Hi
Measure and Time properties in core TM1 do not have any meanings. They are built in because of external reporting applications, like Cognos BI.

However, I'm not sure about this but I remember I have read somewhere here and we have also experienced that you cannot create a RS report from two different cubes in 1 crosstab. Maybe someone can confirm this?
