Maximum memory for action exceeded

Post by s_wang »

We are on 9.5.2 currently. I have a user want to build data cube on local server that point to his laptop and he only has the perspective not the server on this laptop. He is getting 'Maximum memory for action exceeded. View may be too large.Operation aborted' error message when he try to display the data. This cube only has 5 dimensions and total record is about 18,200.

I know how to fix this for the published server but not for the local server. There is no tm1s.cfg on c: drive.

Please help.

Perspectives has it's own configuration file. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head you can find further details about the file and what settings you can change within the operations documentation,

It's call the tm1p.ini which associated with each user. But there is no command regard to the view size.

An instance of the TM1 server is still launched when using a "local server". It sounds like your user is hitting the "MaximumViewSize" limit, which defaults to 100MB on a 32-bit system.

The tm1p.ini only controls the behavior of the Architect and Perspectives client. If your user is running an in-process local server then there is NO facility for changing ANY options of how that server operates. You get what you get.
