Hi All,
I need to build a hierarchy dimension from Element Attributes cube, the hierarchy is as shown below;
Basically the situation is this.
I am updating a dimension with multiple unbalanced hierarchies.
So I started by setting up attributes for every hierarchy that contain the current parent.
Level_0 Level_1 Level_2
Element Attribute 1 Attribute 2
A1 A All
A2 A All
A3 - All
B1 B All
B2 B All
B3 - All
C1 C All
C2 C All
C3 C All
D1 - All
D2 D All
D3 D All
How do i create a date dimension that rolls up to the attribute value "ALL" with Level_0 and Level_1 elements?
Otherwise, is there any 'best practices' regarding creating a dimension from Hierarchy attribute cube?
Ss

Re: How to Create a dimension from a Hierachy cube?
Why are you posting hypothetical examples and then asking for specific help? If you want help building a dimension with dates and multiple unbalanced hierarchies then you should post specific examples. And why do you insist on using the word "hierarchy" when in reality you mean "element". Please be specific on EXACTLY what you are having trouble with, what you have tried so far, and give us specific examples of the elements and what you want the dimension to look like.
