Post by lucia.damonti »

Hi,

it is possible to launch a TWS process from TM1 Turbo Integrator?

My version of tm1 is 9.5.2.

Thanks,
Regards.

And TWS would be what exactly? http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/TWS

If you are talking about IBM Tivoli Workflow Scheduler then my guess is you could manage this in exactly the same way as with BMC Control-M that is via the command line interface by calling a batch file. I am not that familiar with Tivoli but I can only assume that it does have a command line interface. Usually this would require some kind of client install on the server physically hosting the TM1 service and might further require opening of some port sockets. After that it would just be a simple matter of writing the batch file and calling in TI with ExecuteCommand.

Assuming my assumptions are correct then I don't think this belongs in "enhancements" as I think IBM would see this as functionality that is already covered by the ExecuteCommand function.

Just to clarify for you, what Lotsaram meant by his last comment is that as long as the "something else" can be executed externally via a batch file then TM1 will be able to run it. using the command he highlighted,
