We have encountered an issue that seems specific to Win 7 x86 builds using Office 2010 where the transaction log option is available for admins but upon selection no transaction log query dialog pops up (message log works OK). This seems specific to Win 7 + Excel 2010 + TM1 Perspectives 9.5.2
XP + Excel 2010 + TM1 Perspectives 9.5.2 is OK
Win7 + Excel 2007 + TM1 Perspectives 9.5.2 is OK
This is entirely reproducible within our environment here on multiple PCs for multiple admins but I'm not sure yet whether this is a bona fide bug in TM1 or something specific to our Win7 configuration. We see this for 9.5.2 FP1 and 9.5.2 FP2. Does anyone out there with the same OS + MS office experience this also?

Do you not get any error message whatsoever?
I used to have an issue with the transaction log not opening on windows 7 but that was fixed by registering msmask32.ocx, that instance was using the laptop as the server so I expect the fact that some of your clients can access from different OS's suggests that the file is already registered on your box.

No, no message whatsoever.
