Updating Security in Sandbox

Post by jim wood »

Guys,

Has anybody run a security update in a sandbox environment and then deployed it back? Is it even possible?

Jim.

Are you referring to sandbox in the way IBM mean sandbox? If so then I can't see this working, or at least it's not what it was intended for.

For one thing a sandbox only belongs/applies to one person. As a result any changes you make would only affect yourself. As only the administrator should have access to the security cubes anyway, any security changes are likely to have no effect.

But having said that, no harm in testing it out.

I've changed all my processes to CellPutS instead of SecurityPut and it stops the service from locking. All I need to do now is find a way to stop it locking when updating dimensions....
